[*sigh*]

Apparently I sigh a lot. I don't notice it, but my very compassionate and concerned husband does.
"What's the matter?" he'll say whenever he hears my sigh.
"Hm? Oh, I don't know."

And so I try to think of why I sigh.
Maybe I sigh sometimes because:
  • I'm tired
  • I need to clean the house, but I don't want to
  • I'm going to have baby #4
  • I miss my mom
  • My hair is long, and I want it to be short
  • I need to exercise
  • The kids are driving me crazy
  • I want to eat something I know I probably shouldn't
  • I'm tired
  • I forgot
  • The laundry is piling up
  • The to-do list is getting longer
  • I feel unattractive
  • I don't want to make dinner
  • I'm tired
  • Something's missing
  • I have to do it all over again
  • I have to discipline the kids
  • I'm overwhelmed
  • I don't want to
  • Somebody is crying
  • I'm tired

There are a million good reasons to sigh. Why do you sigh?

Now accepting congratulations and sympathy

Yesterday we found out that we are having another bouncing baby boy.

I couldn't sleep at all last night. I kept imagining our 3 boys ganging up on me, wrestling each other, and wrecking the house.

I'm afraid Paige is going to have a hard time when she's finally old enough to babysit for us - and believe me, I'm really looking forward to the time she can babysit.

I think about having to squirt more vaseline in his sore newborn diaper region. I think about boy scout requirements and preparing for missions.

Personally, whenever I hear about, or talk to moms with a lot of boys, my eyebrows furrow into a look of sympathy (and a little admiration). I think it takes a lot of work, and a lot of energy to raise boys.

I guess there are always goods and bads about boys and girls. I will do my best, but I just hope I have enough strength to do it right.

My Grandma said it best when I told her I was having another boy (she too had a girl and then 3 boys). She said, "I'm sorry...But, you will love him."

Rumor is, I know all the answers

I recently found myself around a table with two Moms-of-two, and two Soon-to-be-moms. I found it amusing when I suddenly realized they were all looking at me like I knew all the answers of motherhood. Funny - and also a bit flattering. I was glad to share some of my experiences and mistakes, but heaven help anyone who thinks I'm an expert.

Blumer Spring Break

For Spring Break we decided to stay in town and try to do some things that we never get around to doing. We went on lots of field trips and the kids did really well most of time, so it was quite enjoyable.

Monday: Temple Square (including the new children's exhibit at the Church History Museum - we highly recommend it!). The kids were also really excited to walk around the "park" at the top of the Conference Center.
Tuesday: Bean Museum
Wednesday: Provo Library
Thursday: Living Planet Aquarium.
Friday: Hike up Provo Canyon

Paige wrote her own scripture

1 Paige 6:6

6 You nowe that God Made our Homes. So bild You're Home And Have a Betr life!
