Rumor is we live in a war zone

Every September I feel like we live in a war zone.

Here is a picture of the enemy. There are hundreds of them and they surround my home. I have to run and dodge and keep a prayer in my heart...

...a prayer that I won't get hit!

Holy Cow, that is crazy! Our war zone this time of year is dragon flies, but they are a lot less messy.

They do love your corner!! My girls have to make sure to keep a good distance as they wait for their walking buddies right there. They haven't been hit yet...where's some wood...knock, knock, knock!

Have you ever seen The Birds (Alfred Hitchcock movie)? I'm a little bit afraid for you . . .

Yup, the Williamsons and the Blumers are on the front lines, here. Or at least very much caught in the cross fire.

Last night I saw all the swallows flying around in the corn fields northwest of our homes (across from the Deuchers). I had been wondering where they went for the night...

p.s. In the Simpsons version of "The Birds," the town is taken over by dolphins instead of birds.
